Will Esters and I went up to Legacy sod farm in Bartow Co. saturday to check for the Baird's Sandpipers originally found by Bruce Dralle. The total is four Baird's now. Also present were five alt plumage Black-bellied Plover. Totals:
Little Blue Heron - 1 imm.
Blue-winged Teal - 18
Killdeer - 75
Semipalmated Plover - 1
Black-bellied Plover - 5
Solitary Sandpiper - 1
Lesser Yellowlegs - 6
Greater Yellowlegs - 2
Stilt Sandpiper - 5
Pectoral Sandpiper - 50
Least Sandpiper - 20
Baird's Sandpiper - 4
I decided to hit Cochran Shoals afterwards and had some decent warblers along the river around 1PM.
Northern Parula - 7
Blue-winged - 1
Black-and-white - 2
Magnolia - 1
Chestnut-sided - 4
Prairie - 3
Canada - 2
Hooded - 2
American Redstart - 4
Common Yellowthroat - 3
Also had an adult female Baltimore Oriole in the bunch.
