Patrice,

Check out the slibref iso that macro stuff ...

--> on local pc : libname sunwork slibref=work server=yourserver ; where sunwork = your chosen name , slibref=work -> where you say point to the same lib as work on the remote server yourserve -> name of your server ....

Hello to you all.

Here's a quick one for you...

I'm running SAS/ECO v8.2 windoze connected to SAS on the Unix box (Solaris and SAS v8.2 Unix). I need to have access (for obscure reason :-D ) to the SUN WORK library from Windows in remote library... (Am I making sense here...?).

Since the SUN (as windows) WORK library is created on startup and that directory is unique (meaning never with the same name), how could I resolve this "problem".

The tests I performed didn't work at all. The best thing, that could work, it to be able to extract the directory of a library and transfert that information to SAS Windoze. Is there a function somewhere to do that? I have looked into the documentation and couldn't find a thing close to what I'm looking for... Unless I'm getting blind :-D...

Sincerely yours,
