Thanks for the tips supplied...
Though I forgot to mention one thing. The control in the frame should not be
taken over by the program/code in the waitstate of the 1000 ms.
Think of my timer as for example doing the following:
Updating a textlabel in the frame every 1000 ms with the current time, and,
this is important, without disturbing the user. Something like an
asynchronous rsubmit:-)
By the way: Platform is Win2000, SAS 8.2
