Hi, Edgar

This problem also appeared with v 9.0. It's apparently a conflict between SPSS and a mouse driver, or at least that used to be the answer provided by Answer Net. Now I can't find that solution in the database.

The one I did find said to resize the buttons for the Data Editor, but I also have the problem for all my windows, some of the time. On a tangent/rant, it pays to read AnswerNet if you use any of the version 10.x -- the quantity of "features" is spooky and not all of them get discussed on the list.

+) Resize the icons to the larger size: http://www.spss.com/tech/answer/result.cfm?tech_tan_id=100006776

Solution ID: 100006776 Title: icons in SPSS Data Editor are not legible

Description: Q. I am installing SPSS 9.0 for Windows, and I receive a message that it has been completely installed. The installation process seems to have been successful for there were not any error messages during install. However, when I launch the program, the icons on the toolbar in the SPSS Data Editor are not legible. They are blurry and an image cannot be distinguished. This is consistent only for the Data Editor, not the Syntax Editor, the Viewer, or the Production Facility. How can I correct this problem?

A. To correct this problem, please do the following: 1. Open SPSS and have the Data Editor window present. 2. Go to View->Toolbars, select Data Editor for the Document Type and make sure Data Editor is checked in the Toolbars dialog box. 3. Select Large Buttons and then choose OK.
