I'll echo Dale's comments and note that the fix may be as straightforward as
updating the Service Pack on the PC (the current SP for NT 4.0 is SP 6; you can
tell the level from My Computer). I know upgrading the SP requires validation,
but you could do a test in the IT group sandbox.
