Try using the indexc function to find the first lowercase letter. Then use
the position returned from that function as an argument for your substr
length var1 var2 var3 $200;
pos = indexc(varn, 'abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz');
var2 = substr(var1,1, pos-1);
var3 = substr(var1, pos);

Subject: how to test lowcase and upcase
I have a variable with both lowcase and upcase characters, so I
would like to separate into two variables then lowcase and upcase texts.
See a example:
So, I would like to get:
How can I do that? I think I have to test if the sequence of
character is or not upcase (lowcase).
