Do follow Chuck's advice, but as long as you've got V8 up and running, the
easiest way to access those Oracle tables by far is to use the new RDBMS
engine facility on the LIBNAME statement. You'll need SAS/ACCESS Software
for Relational Databases - Oracle flavor up and running, but all you've got
to do is provide the proper credentials info (user id, password, etc) on
the LIBNAME statement, along with the ORACLE engine keyword, and you just
treat the Oracle tables like any other SAS data sets. It really works like
a charm. HTH.
