I didn't think I'd start a chan reaction to this when I first posted this
earlier yesterday. I'd also like to know where I can locate Dorfman's
papers. With much interest from many folks, perhaps someone can post the
location or how we can obtain the papers on the listserv.
Thanks to those who did reply to me privately and gave me some insight to
this. It was much helpful for other projects I'm working on.

I am also interested in this topic. Where can I find the "complete" works
of Paul Dorfman. I have only been able to find references to his SUGI
papers, not the actual papers. I am interested in reading his "*extensive*
discussions on using arrays
to implement a number of fiendishly ingenious comp-sci standards."
Please tell me where I can find them.

Did you say the "complete" works of Paul Dorfman? I am not sure I will live
long enough to finish it!
Thanks for the pointers. I have been the beneficiary of a Dorfmanish
solution or twenty in my time.

I suggest you start with the complete works of Paul Dorfman. Look up his
SUGI papers and then read through the posts he has made to SAS-L over the
past year. He has written several *extensive* discussions on using arrays
to implement a number of fiendishly ingenious comp-sci standards. I
recommend
them highly.
Of course, Paul isn't here right now to defend himself. :-)
