Subject:      importing date from access database

When I import files from my MS Access database, they are in the form
05MAR2001:00:00:00. How do I remove the time aspect out of this. Is it a
problem with importing setup? I use the menu for importing (ver 8.1),
produce a sas file, and then us it to import the file when needed.
