I have been very pleased with performance on my NT box. Memory size and disk speed are both essential issues for big, high-performance jobs, but the hardware is out there, and the prices are reasonable. Given the size of your needs, don't skimp on disk speeds and controllers. I would think RAID-1 at a minimum, and RAID-5 if possible with 4-5 arrayed 10,000 rpm disks!

John
