I have a feeling that this position has been and will be vacant for a long time.

California Teachers Study, University of Southern California, Los Angeles.

The California Teachers Study is looking for a senior SAS data manager to take over all aspects of keeping our analysis data healthy. We are arguably the largest breast cancer cohort study ever undertaken, with over 130,000 women participating in our research. Starting in 1995 our study now has a huge amount of data obtained from three OMR scanned questionnaires that we've sent so far - and more data comes every two years! Our analysis data has been expertly overseen so far by a wonderful data manager who is preparing to retire. We need the right person to join us and take over this very important aspect of our study.

You will work with statisticians and analysts both here at USC as well as the 4 other California institutions that collaborate on this ongoing project. The integrity of our growing analysis dataset depends on impeccable accuracy and thorough documentation. You'll be using Version 8 of SAS on the Intel platform, within a Novell environment. If you have a proven track record, a bachelors degree with a minimum of 5 years of senior SAS data management experience and outstanding professional references to support your successes, we would like a chance to show you what the California Teachers Study has to offer you.

Housed at the University of Southern California's Department of Preventive Medicine, we are located at the USC Health Science Campus in Los Angeles. With over 500 Faculty and Staff, we are a premiere Cancer Epidemiology and Prevention research department, bringing in more externally funded research dollars to the University than any other. We offer a great working environment, superb University benefits including top notch health benefits and university tuition remission for staff and their families, and attractive and competitive salaries.

Permanent full-time USC Grade TJ $45-55K.
