Dear Deane;- The only Epitoniidae that comes near the size described from the area mentioned is Amaea mitchelli. But it is only found off the coast of Texas. I suggest that what you have may NOT be an Epitonium at all. Turitellidae (among others) may be mistaken for Eps. Art Weil
