Subject: rough-legged hawk(no), killdeer
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

After work both yesterday and today between 5-6pm I went out to look for the rough-legged hawk seen Sunday near Colbert. I wasn't able to find it after searching along Holly Creek Church Road and Moores Lane, but I didn't have a spotting scope and on Monday the rainy weather wasn't helpful. On today's attempt I did see large numbers of killdeer among the many robins and meadowlarks in the pasture directly across from the Holly Creek Baptist Church. I counted 208 killdeer in one small area of the pasture. I've never seen so many together like that. Is this an unusually high number?
