Subject: Newbie: K-S Test in QC Module
Hi there,
I am very new at using SAS ver 8.1. I was told that I was wasting my time
writing manual scripts in MATLAB to perform distribution matching and later
performing K-S tests on these distributions when SAS does it automatically
as it has shown in the Quality Control module. I have a communication system
which generates ratio values from which I have to estimate the tail
probability. I have tried fitting several known distributions eg. Beta,
Gamma, Weibull, Lograthmic. Visually inspecting the overlay plots SAS
produces Lograthmic and Gamma are pretty close in fitting. However, can
someone tell me how to go about implementing the K-S test in SAS. I looked
up help and to be honest I was lost. Being very new to this its hard to
understand how SAS really works quickly.
So anyone can offer me any quick tips on performing the K-S test in SAS will
be highly appreciated.
With thanks
Veeral
