7 Dec., Garden Lakes in Floyd Co. - mid-afternoon:
Persusal of the good numbers of waterfowl became much easier as the "bread
ladies" arrived. All domestics, Ring-billed Gulls, Canada Geese, and
east-end American Coots cleared the lake in favor of the crumb-encrusted
shore.
American Coot - 100's
Pied-billed Grebe - 5
Canada Goose - dozens
Gadwall - 3
American Wigeon - dozens
Ruddy Duck - 6
Redhead - 3
Ring-necked Duck - dozens
Bufflehead - 1
A dozen Ring-billed Gull.
