Greg,

If you want to use the easiest way, i.e. proc export, and you are using release 8.1 for windows, you may discover that SAS will not create an ACCESS97 database but it will create it in ACCESS2000 format. I reported the problem to SAS tech support and they just sent me two replacement dll's which fixed the problem. I assume that the SAS website will allow you to download the two dll files. If not, I can forward them if you email me. I would attach them to this message except for the fact that the SAS-L server seems to have a problem with most of my messages and therefore I try to keep them simple. In fact, I will be surprised if this gets through.

Regards

Phil Schaeffer, FAA Headquarters

What is the best way to convert SAS datasets to MSAccess97? Is it even possible? I searched the SAS web site and was not able to find much. Any help would be great!

Greg
