You talking about files containing SAS datasets and other SAS "objects", I
assume (otherwise SAS versions would not matter). In that case, it would make
sense to install SAS V8 as well as SAS V6.xx. SI does not charge more under
Unix (so far as I have heard) for installations of more than one version of SAS.
If you trying to regress from SAS V8 to V6.xx, you'll have to rename variables
and SAS datasets to 8 or fewer character names, trim character variables with
lengths >200, etc. Sig

SAS_L;
We have several files in MVS, there we use V8, we want to move them to
a UNIX machine, but we use V6 on UNIX, do somebody did this before, any
quick way to do the job ?
Thanks!
