Subject: Oracle CEO profiled in the Post
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

The Washington Post is doing a series on CEO's of big software / IT companies. Earlier profiles were of Steve Case (AOL) and Jeff Bezos (Amazon). Today's profile is of Larry Ellison

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A38631-2000Oct29.html

Larry Ellison is the founder and chief executive of Oracle Corp., the world's second-biggest software company and--as businesses shift their functions online--one formidably positioned to profit from the Internet boom. His net worth is $58 billion, according to the October issue of Forbes magazine, and tied closely to the performance of Oracle stock. At times this year, that sum has surpassed Bill Gates's fortune (it dusts Allen's $36 billion). But when Ellison receives attention, it's often for reasons irrelevant to his corporate bona fides.
