Dearest SAS-Lers,

Has anyone come across a problem installing SAS Version 8.1 with Enterprise Guide 1.1?

It seems that Enterprise Guide is having difficulty establishing that SAS is in fact installed on the PC (not recognising version 8.1)

Error Message is as follows:
[Administrator]

SAS could not be started. It may not be installed on the machine where you are attempting to access it.

However SAS 8.1 is working fine (as is Enterprise Miner 4.0).

Any deep & meaningful (I'll even take shallow) insights into this problem would be most appreciated!!
