Anthony,

I completely agree with you that you have to read the manuals.

Thank you for your courteous reply.

Regards,

Foster Kerrison

My humble apologies if I was too blunt, but I think I was steering them in the right direction. I do not think one can learn about all those keywords in that particular code without reading the manual and/or online help or at least a good BBU (book by user). I have personally learnt a lot from this list but also had and still have to read the manuals. James,

With all due respect, I must disagree with you. To me, Anthony's response was positive, at least indirectly. I was thinking RTFM because the questions were soooo basic. Yet Anthony's response (with a little tongue-in-cheek) was accurate, positive (imho), and civil.

For TRULY disappointing, though humorous, responses, I recommend searching the sas-l archives for posts by David Pider.

Anthony,

This is one of the most dissapointing responses that I have seen on SAS-L. If you don't have something positive to contribute may I suggest that you don't contribute at all.

I would commend Mark Terjeson for his response, and note that it is a stark contrast to yours.

Regards,

Foster Kerrison.

My my my....looks like you'll have to hit the manuals hard (especially the one called SAS Language Reference) and look for all those keywords!!!!
