You won't find SAS in a bookstore. But many universities already have site licenses.

Check with your university's comp-sci department. Or the stat department. Or the biometrics, econometrics, and sociometrics departments. Or the school of pharmacy. Even if the comp-sci group doesn't have a license, there may still be a group on campus with a site license. You might be able to get a 'copy' for a small sum.
