Within version 8 of sas it would be possible to add dimenstions to your mddb
without recalculating the whole mddb. The data for this new dimension will
be stored in the mddb. Within version 6, you can add a hierarchy-definition
to your metabase without recalculating the mddb. This dimension (when used)
will be calculated from the best available crossing (maybe Nway)

Bas

Subject: MDDB - Computed Dimensions ??
Hi all,
I have an existing MDDB with 8-9 dimensions. Now I require another dimension
which can be derived from values in an
existing dimension.
My question: Is there any way I can compute this new dimension at runtime
and have it displayed ?
I do not wish to change the MDDB code etc and want a quick way to do
this....
The corresponding measures should get appropriately summed up etc
Thanks,
Deepak.
