Linda,

I've been out of pocket lately and was going through some of the Conch-L digests when I saw your note. I hope this isn't a repeat of what someone else shared. The AmConch section of Conch-Net has a couple articles that might help:

What's eating my shells? http://coa.acnatsci.org/conchnet/bynes.html Fighting Byne's disease. http://coa.acnatsci.org/conchnet/bynes2.html

Till later,

Hi Again, Will someone please tll me what Byne's disease is. I was under the mistaken idea that it was that which occurs on shells if stored in oak wood.

Thanks, Linda
