Position reports to Director, Management Sciences / Marketing Analysis.
Position has the following responsibilities: performing statistical and
business analyses in PC and Mainframe environments for the creation,
testing, monitoring, and maintenance of music application screening
processes; creating, testing, and maintaining credit screening reports and
databases; creating, testing, and maintaining databases and programs used to
evaluate the potential profitability of music applicants; conducting music
performance analyses to assist Marketing department in the evaluation of
various offers and strategies; conducting performance, demographic, and
applicant behavior analyses to assist the electronic media department in
improving the on-line business; working with the systems department on the
implementation of changes in the music application screening system;
conducting other analyses as needed for other areas in Management Sciences /
Marketing Analysis department.
A Masters Degree and 3+ years experience in statistical data analysis
required. At least one degree must be in a quantitative field: mathematics,
statistics, engineering, computers, etc. Excellent quantitative/analytical
skills with an attention to detail are required; knowledge of PC software
and databases is required; proficiency with SAS or similar software is
required; mainframe (MVS, JCL) experience is preferred; experience
manipulating large databases is preferred; ability to work on multiple
projects and set priorities is required; excellent oral and written skills
and the ability to communicate with non-technical departments is required.
TITLE: Senior Marketing Analyst - Job #SMA2
DEPARTMENT: Management Sciences / Marketing Analysis
Position reports to Manager, Video Marketing Analysis. Responsible for the
front-end and back-end new member acquisition analysis (PC and Mainframe) of
advertising campaigns for the Video, DVD, and PIX clubs. Candidate will work
closely with Video Advertising and take an active role in the development of
new advertising policies and offer strategies to improve enrollment
response. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for weekly and
monthly reports that track the performance of various media segments.
Candidate must be able to translate quantitative findings into practical
advertising recommendations by interpreting enrollment and sales data,
monitoring trends, and evaluating various test results and raw data for
potential marketing value.
Candidate will also conduct other analyses as needed in other areas within
the Management Sciences / Marketing Analysis department.
A Masters Degree is required. An MBA or a (Masters) degree in mathematics,
statistics, engineering, or computer science is preferred. Excellent

Description/Key Responsibilities: Provides programming support and
validation of analysis datasets, pooled datasets, listings, summaries,
figures and tables for Phase I-IV clinical trials, ISS and ISE. Provides
programming support and validation of data structures and applications for
Phase I-IV clinical trials. Provides input into specifications of: analysis
datasets, pooled datasets, listing, summaries, figures, tables, data
structures and database applicationšs for Phase I-IV clinical trials, ISS
and ISE. Provides input into documents for assigned projects (e.g. IDP,
EDWG, FDWG, protocol and CRFs). Provides necessary programming support for

Minimum Requirements:

understanding of physiology, pharmacology, clinical study objectives and
methodologies as well as in Novartis drug development process. Good verbal
and written communication skills effective in an international environment.
Good knowledge of clinical research drug development process, standard
operating procedures and good clinical practices and other international
