Found my first Swainson's warbler of the year on Joe Kurz WMA yesterday
(4/20/00), in the bottomland of the Flint River. Also had savannah
sparrows, a singing grasshopper sparrow, and heard the first quail
whistle of the year. Does that mean summer is here?
Joe Kurz WMA is in Meriwether county, near Gay, Georgia.
