Subject:   -WORK USE in Version 8 under NT4 SP5
Content-Type:   text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

It seems that whereever I try the USE parameter for declaring the SAS WORK library in V8 it is ignored or flagged with an error message. Not being able to find the parameter in the V8 documentation is giving me trepedations real or imaginary that SASI has pulled the plug on this parameter. On the command line the option would be something like the following:

-work c:\mywork use

Anyone had experience using it in V8? Saw the plug pulled? If so, any other way to force SAS to put its working files into an explicit directory (rather than an "_TD234" type subdirectory?

TIA for any help I can get,

Rob
