Another fine book would be the "SAS Companion for the MVS Environment" SAS
Publication 55108.

You could also buy Michael's fine book "Tuning SAS Applications in the MVS
Environment", SAS Publication #55231. There, you will find plenty of pages
dedicated solely to MVS.
Besides, the thought of actually plugging "into Michael Raithel's brain" should
scare
the heck out of most mortals. Only a small fraction of the population could
survive a
rafting trip on the raging torrent of his thoughts on SAS, Monty Python, Led
Zeppelin, MVS
Performance, Pink Floyd, William Shakespeare and Penn & Teller. Sure, it
sounds
like fun on paper. But Jim Goodnight talking Enterprise Miner with Robert
Plant? Or, Eric Idle
and DASD performance? The thought makes me shudder. (On the other hand, get
Jimmy Page
and David Gilmore together...well, I think we can begin to understand why he's
always so
darn happy.)
Better to just buy the book.
